CIPS - Loyalist February 2010 LUNCHEON

Our topic this month for our Trends and Changes in ICT Series is “Hire Education Talent Wars 2.0” 

 

 TOPIC:  “Hire Education Talent Wars 2.0  - IT's at NBCC Saint John Campus”
Speaker: Chris London , B.Ed, I.S.P., ITCP, Instructor,  NBCC - Saint John  

 
 Event Overview  –  Chris London supported by our up-coming graduates will speak about the Information Technology-Programmer/Analyst Co-op Program offered at our local community college.  This program was formerly called Computer Programming Technology, a program that has been an IT staple in Saint John since 1982.  You will learn about this program and how co-op education works at NBCC Saint John Campus. Recent achievements include a three year renewal to the national CIPS accreditation as well as a new 2+2 articulation agreement with UNBSJ's Bachelor of Information Sciences.

 

 Chris London - Biography 

 Chris is an instructor in the Business Department at the Saint John campus of the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), where he teaches project management, systems analysis, ethics, organizational behaviour, several computer programming languages, as well as numerous technology/computer courses.
 Chris has an Honours diploma in Computer Programming Technology from NBCC Saint John and a Bachelor of Education degree (with Distinction) in Adult Education from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton (UNB), where he was the recipient of the Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick Silver Medal in Education for 2008. Chris also won both the campus and provincial NBCC Excellence Awards for Teaching in 2007. 

Chris is a designated Information Systems Professional (I.S.P.) with over 14 years of IT industry experience as a business owner, project manager, account manager, programmer, analyst, and Instructor.
